Thank you for visiting Realizing Presence,
This website is a labor of love and a landing page for the most instant access to the most helpful words in healing I'm able to compile from the experience of my own knowing, in lifelong healing from a severe case of Complex PTSD. While God has blesseed me with another spin to be here healing, I'm making the best of it and building this website to provide trauma informed peer support and help facilitate Self directed psychological healing as a human right, directed to professionals who know far more than I do, who you can follow up with for yourself, if you choose.
I'm piecing together a greater understanding of trauma, the memories of trauam, myself as a stand alone entity to any trauma remembered, acknowleging the physical body heals automatically, and the process of healing psychological trauma requires our own active participation, and the most important thing is it can be done. And far more quickly and efficently, and to far greater degrees than most people realize.
I'm using the skills I gained from forensically processing crime scenes, and law enforcement to piece together the best understanding I can about us as humans experiencing profound psychological trauma, resilently recovering, healing, and growing from it, and realizing this moment of presence we are in, as the present moment all thought and emotions happen from.
Everything I share is my opinion from my perspective, and not medical or mental health advice. This is not a substitute for medical and / or mental health care. I promote self care, the care we are all capable of taking for themselves. I am a peer, I can provide support but not medical advice. Please seek professional care if you see it can benefit you.
I'm already doing my own healing work, Realizing Presence allows me to have a steady place to share it from. I'm compiling the best clear, concise, empowering, and competent information on any given subject in a format that allows you to go from the home page to various categories and back, so you can navigate what seems like an overwhelming amount of information with a paradoxical sense of ease.
Consider this website as the best directory of psychological healing options, empowerment, and support that I have been able to create so far a supplemental tool, much as a first aid kit would be a supplemental tool to help heal a physical trauma and ongoing care. The first aid kit for ongoing care is not a substitue for adequate medical care to begin with in some circumstances, such as my own.
To give you some perspective, I am in lifelong recovery from PTSD, I rely on professionals for my own care, and I'm the one who created this website. What I'm doing is all part of a greater team mission healing healthier together. We each have to do our own part grassroots healing in the mental health epidemic, which includes taking selfcare through pride for ourSelves first and formost.
Use this webpage as a healing directory for your own empowerment and hope, knowing you can heal, we can all heal when we participate in our own healing. We are all responsible for building ourselves stronger and healthier to support eachother along the healing journey's way, we are all in this together.
