Going From Isolation to Solitude

While in solitude, I feel more closely connected with others in a larger world.

When Isolated, I feel more separated from others in a smaller world.

Isolation vs Solitude

Isolation and Solitude both suggest being alone, but they are two very different things.

Isolation is a sense of withdrawn lonliness, even in the company of other people.

Solitude is a sense of connection and belonging, even when we are alone.

Isolation provokes a sense of lonely pain.

In solitude we realize a sense of connected peace.

In isolation the mind often craves more pain and feels the urge to push others further away.

In solitude we feel a sense of peace and settlement wherever we're at, alone or with others.
